Define Business Requirements:  Not all TMS solutions are the same -- nor are your business requirements.  Up front time is spent to define your current transportation and logistics operational requirements, as well as your future potential needs.  As companies continue to adapt supply chains, acquire companies, and review strategic business options, you need to have a solution that can handle these business needs.   Integration points, technical and architectural requirements are also defined during this initial phase.

Source Solution:  As a sourcing strategy is defined, CSSI expedites the sourcing activity through well established RFP frameworks for TMS Solutions.  These pre-defined frameworks capture the core operational requirements and shorten the overall sourcing timeline.  During the time that the RFP is in the market, CSSI works with the client team to aggressively manage the external communications and process timeline.   The last thing you want is to be delayed by a sales person who did not plan properly to return the RFP as this will delay your overall ROI.  

Evaluate Proposals:  TMS proposal evaluation is more than simply adding up the "yes, we have this now" responses.  CSSI builds a comprehensive evaluation model that includes all attributes of the sourcing activity - and others that are not directly in control of the vendors.  We create scorecards that track such items as vendor functionality, concurrency users, customization costs, languages, vendor R&D plans, integration costs, ROI and a wide arrange of other attributes.  Each are scored according to your individual preference - this approach makes the decision very data driven.

Negotiation and Implementation Planning:  CSSI will help finalize the deal during the face-to-face negotiations.   For many vendors, they know that clients don't like negotiations and use this time to increase their revenues - we won't let this happen.
